:(

Last week I had my phone stolen from my work! Very annoying as I had taken photos of lots of new hair accessories to put up in the shop!

Not the best start to the week but I have just returned from a festival which turned it around completely!

I have been working on a few custom orders recently and doing matching garters, unfortunately I have no way to take any pictures at the moment.

This Month I will have a stall at Sands at bleak house for 'GIRLY GARDEN PARTY'
Details are below;

www.neeksie.com - Treat yourself!

Ola!

I've just come back from my holiday and can't stop saying 'Ola'... It has also left the bank balance looking pretty dismal which has actually forced me to be a little more productive and get some sewing done!

I have been creating some new bits for my stall next week, The Craft Guerilla Summer Fair!
I'm really excited about and especially seeing what other talented designers have to offer!

They're pretty cute even if I do say so myself!

They would also make really nice accessories to clip onto clothing or bags!

Tomorrow is my favourite kind of shopping, Fabric shopping! I was really inspired from my holiday by all the amazing and colourful flowers all over the place, so hopefully I can find some fabrics that resemble them.

Holiday Blues!

I have neglected my blog recently and have also just returned from an amazing holiday to Portugal. Lisbon is well worth a visit and has the most amazing architecture.

I have come back to a very busy next two weeks and a few orders which I shipped today..

Next week is my summer fair market stall in Walthemstow... Make sure you visit! - click here for more information --->

What a day!

There was sun, there was thunder, lightening, hail stones... but eventually the rain stopped and my photoshoot began!
We had a lovely afternoon strolling around a local stables. The horses were a little camera shy but the knickers have finally been captured in their full glory!

A big thanks to my lovely model Elle, Mindy Coe and her photography skills and of course Laura for the hair styling!

Heres a sneaky peek at a few images from todays shoot which are currently being uploaded onto the website!

Money Money Money

All though I have been making sales recently. I seem to have hit a brick wall. Having started Neeksie from a hobby, I have had good feedback so far and lots of interest.
I just need to win the lottery so I can make it into something spectacular!
I've spent most of my spare time researching wholesalers for fabrics and elastics so I can offer lovely knickers at a reasonable price.
Most of the UK manufacturers have struggled through the recession, I would love to keep my suppliers in the Uk but it is proving costly!

Me and the calculator are going to have to spend some quality time together.

In the meantime.. Here area few designs of some silkier sets I'm planning on making!

Where am I?

I have just spent the entirety of my evening cutting our knicker and hair bow patterns.... tomorrow evening will be spent sewing them! Cramming in sewing after work has been proving tricky lately.

...If your wandering where you can get your hands on some lovely knickers, look no further. Aside my online shop I have two very exciting events this month.

First Is a ladies pamper evening at sands at bleak house in Woking. Tickets are still available!
Click the image below for more information!

The second, is an evening craft market in Teddington. I have previously posted details.. but here they are again!

I hope you can make it!

Elastic is not my friend

I have had so much trouble trying to get hold of bulk amounts of elastic. It is proving impossible. I thought my luck was in when I paid just £10 for a roll but when I got it in the post I was majorly disappointed to see it was practically like thread and had no elasticity whatsoever. Damn.

Either way, I have a small supply and am a busy busy bee! I have a few custom orders which are from up-cycled fabric.

Another is for a swimsuit in my 'Cream Tea' style but for a child. How adorable! :)

But most importantly ... I got to start a new set this evening.. My poor little fingers have taken some abuse this week - I have sewn through my finger twice! Ouch. It's no pleasant.

But here they are 'Summer lovin'... And yes, I did recently watch 'Grease'

Bisous
Last week was a busy one in the world of Neeksie!

I completed 2 underwear sets and pair of knickers all available in different sizes at my Etsy shop.

It seemed to pay off as I have already received lots of orders which I spent today finishing/packing/posting!

Most were from my new collection with a few custom orders too! Here's a peep at some of the new stuff if you haven't already seen it!

This afternoon I was designing some new undies.. I purchased the sweetest fabric from my local supplier which I am planning of using to make a very ruffly set.. Which I think can also be worn as a bikini...Handy!

I have also decided to use the lilac lace to make a set. Simple and elegant it will have a black elastic trim and tie side pants and bandeau from satin ribbon..
In my head, it looks lovely, so fingers crossed the outcome will be the same!

One more little note.. I was stumbling through the internet in search of some cute fabrics.. which is exactly what I found!
A bit to costly for my lingerie but I have already mentally spent hundreds..

Enjoy!

New designs

I purchased some new fabrics yesterday for my new collection... Which will be something along the lines of the below drawings.

Feedback welcome!

Today was a good day!

Today was my market stall, It was pretty quiet but I had a successful day with knickers, eye masks and hair bows all selling!

I was a little more prepared this time...
Here I am in action!

There were lots of beautiful handmade bits and bobs around today.. I couldn't resist buying myself some goodies!

The scented eye masks went down a treat! Although not many sales today, I had a lot of interest as gifts etc. I have also come to the conclusion that most of my female relatives will be receiving them as gifts throughout the year...

I had my selection of bows on display which sold really well, I had lots of little customers too which made my day!

All in all, a good day with lots of positive feedback. I have also updated my shop. The knicker range is limited at present as I am working on a collection that will be available in different sizes!

Have a browse...

Final preparations..

As I am possibly the most unorganized being ever, I have been trying my hardest (last minute of course) to get as much stuff made for my stall as possible.

This Friday evening has been particularly productive, I managed to finish my scented eye masks and make some new hair bows, as well as new labels

Don't be fooled, There is still a million things I need to do, but nobody's perfect.
I've also had a few sales this week which has spurred me to really concentrate on Neeksie.
I got a little bit side tracked with moving out and really need to get focussed again.

After I have sold a few more bits I will be investing in some very cute fabrics and making a collection of bandeau's and knicker sets.

Exciting!

Up and coming markets..

This weekend, I will be returning to Abney Hall for the 'Of Cabbages and Kings' Market.

With plenty of new eye masks and hair bows on offer, and of course the frilliest knickers around.

Come down for a gander!

Plus another market at Happy Potter Ceramics!

The cutest little pottery shop you did see.. Which I just so happen to work at!

Doodle

Today I was supposed to be sewing but after a boozy barbecue my head wasn't prepared for the noise.

I was having a discussion with my friend on the train about what exotic animals we'd have as pets..
Chanti's was a Fennec fox... Originally I said a monkey.
What was I thinking, it was always going to be a Panda

Anyway it got me doodling ..
This one is called "We're going on a bear hunt"

The little ginger girl reminds me of Sophie from the BFG

Next one I haven't named yet.. I'm not sure if it's finished either.. I think it needs something.

little 'Bow' peep

After making a few bows last week I sold 5 in one day!

WOW

Obviously I rushed to make more as I am hoping they will be as much of a success at my stall.

I have a few different size varieties but living with a girl who always has the biggest and cutest bows among her head, I thought I'd make some big ones too

The little yellow bumble bee fabric was donated by my friend, It was one she had from her sewing box as a child!

I had it in mine for a while unsure what to do with it..I didn't think it would work as pair of knickers.
Thus.. I made it into cute little hair clips

 (Thanks Mindy)

Last but not least, The Pièce de résistance....although not made from vintage fabric.
I made one for myself too...and of course then my flatmate decided she needed one too!

On other exciting news...I'm having a meeting next week about stocking my frilly knickers and accessories in a shop.

I am ECSTATIC about this!

..Something for spring!

After my stall I realized small items are a necessity... So I've been busy making the cutest little vintage bow hair clips.

I have a few different sizes and will hopefully be making some alice bands too!

The Sun has got his hat on!

What a gorgeous day :)
..Far too nice to be sat inside sewing,so I decided to sit in my new garden and paint the day away..

these two twitters are for our living room... It's a little neglected compared to the rest of our apartment.

SO

My first market was fun. I was joined by my lovely friend Ches (Thanks again mrs)

I didn't sell a great deal.. But other than the woman selling kids clothes I don't think many stalls did. Either way I had a good response and lots of people taking cards.

I also made a lovely long list for next time.. to say I was unprepared would be a major understatement.

my little eye mask section

I think the highlight of the day was when Noel Fielding walked in... Didn't buy any knickers though.

Neglect!

After a weeks snowboarding I feel I have neglected my blog/knickers... So today before a I move into a new flat and have even less time I made a few new pairs..

My stall is a week tomorrow! It's very exciting!

Newbies

I think these might just be my favourite pair!

Definitely a spring knicker!

Sew-athon

I've been at work today... and half to go back in 20 minutes but managed to get 2 pairs of knickers for the stall done. I have a really busy March and all my spare time is taken with sewing so I'm really trying to get as much done as I can!

I like todays outcome. I tried some new techniques and I'm pretty pleased with them!
